Nike's annual celebration of Kobe Bryant on 8/24, aka "Mamba Day," will include the retail debut of the Nike Kobe A.D., an updated take on Kobe's most recent signature sneaker. The kicks first surfaced at the Drew League in Cali last weekend on the feet of San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan, as well as Kobe himself, but have since been revealed in several colorways, including a multi-color version that will be available today.
According to Sole Collector, the Nike Kobe A.D. 2018 is constructed of a mesh upper featuring a looped speed lacing system and Zoom Air cushioning. Additional details include a series of numbers on the tongue, including both of Kobe's jersey numbers, as well as his birth year.
The multi-color version of the Nike Kobe A.D. 2018, as worn by Kobe and DeRozan, will be available today at 10am ET for the retail price of $140. Take a look at the new Kobe A.D. model, as well as some purchase links, in the tweets embedded below.
