Let the offers begin.

The mad dash to acquire Anthony Davis has begun. The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to trade for Davis before the deadline on Thursday, and ESPN reports that the purple and gold have put together another offer. League sources told ESPN that the Lakers have offered Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley, and a first-round pick. Those sources claim the Lakers have limited their offers to two of the franchise's top young players in each proposal, and haven't including more than a single first-round pick in offers.

The New Orleans Pelicans have yet to respond to the trade offers according to reports. Lakers president Magic Johnson has been talking with Pelicans GM Dell Demps, but Demps isn't sold on the offer. The Pelicans have to respond with a counteroffer. With only five days left until the trade deadline hits, the Lakers are running out of time. Davis spoke to the media on Friday (February 1) for the first time since requesting a trade. "It’s my time," he stated. "I feel like I gave this city, the organization, fans everything I felt like I could. Don't know how long I'm gonna play this game. People's careers are short. I feel like it's my time to move on."
