Smokepurpp teases a new song dedicated to his freshman class.

Things are looking good for Smokepurpp in 2018. He secured one of the coveted spots on this years XXL Freshman List, an honor sought my many but granted to few. He also has several projects on the way, his upcoming sequel to Deadstar, and an untitled project with his parter-in-crime, Lil Pump.

In order to celebrate his achievements, Purpp has decided to preview a brand new song off Deadstar 2; appropriately titled, "XXL." The video preview is very short, but it's clear that this is going to be another bass-heavy banger from Purpp. No surprise considering that Ronny J reportedly produced it.

If you've listened to any of the newer rappers out of Florida, chances are you've heard Ronny J's work. He produced Purpp's arguably best song, "Audi," and has made quite a name for himself as a record producer for fellow XXL Freshmen Wifisfuneral and Ski Mask The Slump God.

There's no word on exactly when Deadstar 2 is coming out, or if Purpp is actually going to drop the full version of "XXL" like he says he might. We've still got some more Smokepurpp content in the near future however. He's already given us his go at the freshman acapella freestyle, and his cypher with Lil Pump and BlocBoy JB should be dropping very soon.

How's the song sounding so far? Is Smokepurpp just another wasted spot on the freshman list? Let us know what you think, but first check out the preview of Smokepurpp's new song "XXL" down below.
