Back in May, MTV was forced to suspend production on one of their hit shows, Catfish, after the host, Nev Schulman, was accused of sexual misconduct.
One of the women who appeared on the show, Ayissha Morgan, alleged that Schulman had made inappropriate comments to her during the filming of the show; asking her if she was a lesbian, and bragging about the length of his penis. She also claimed that another producer on the show, named Carol, sexually assaulted her after lacing her drink.
Schulman denied the claims against him, saying: "The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false."
According to TMZ, an investigation into the misconduct claims against Schulman have come up negative, and production on the show has resumed.
In a statement to US Weekly, MTV says that, "Although we never received a formal complaint, MTV and Critical Content immediately engaged an independent third party investigator ... The independent investigator found the allegations made in the YouTube videos to be not credible and without merit."
That's good news for fans of Catfish, who surely have been desperate to see new stories of people still getting tricked by fake profiles on dating sites in the year 2018.
