Nev Schulman is accused of some serious wrongdoing.

One of MTV's most popular series has been put on hold amid serious allegations. Catfish host Nev Schulman has been accused of sexual misconduct from an unknown source, forcing the television program to no longer continue until the accusations get resolved. “We take these allegations very seriously,” an MTV spokesperson said in a statement. “We’re working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation.”

There has been no information released on the details behind the misconduct, but some are saying it has to do with a woman who was a participant of the show.

Catfish is now in its seventh season and sees Nev and co-host Max Joseph meet with individuals who have formed online relationships with their significant other. Nev and Max track down the spouse of any given man or woman and see if they are who they really say they are online. Some tales end in serious misery, while some get just what they expected.

The series came into play after Nev shot his own 2010 documentary of the same name, following his own fate with a woman who baited him into a relationship with a fake Facebook account.

Nev is now married with a two-year-old daughter. He has yet to respond to the allegations pinned on his name.
