Yesterday's game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Toronto Raptors was a battle to see which player would triumph over their former team. For the Raptors, Kawhi Leonard was looking to beat the team he demanded to be traded from, while DeMar DeRozan of the Spurs was looking for revenge after being traded from a team he loved. In the end, it was DeRozan who got the best of the Raptors and helped propel his team to a 125-107 victory on Thursday.
DeRozan finished the game with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists, according to ESPN. This was the first time DeRozan recorded a triple-double in his career, making it a successful game against his former squad.

"It really wasn't [anything]," DeRozan told ESPN. "It was extremely fun going out there talking mess to my old teammates. But there wasn't [any] emotions, wasn't emotional at all for me. It was just a fun game."
DeRozan was cheered on by the Spurs crowd while Raptors superstar Leonard was met with boos and "traitor" chants throughout the game.
The Spurs currently have a record of 22-17 and are seventh place in the Western Conference. They take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
