Nintendo has announced the inclusion of the Isabelle character from Animal Crossing in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster. Isabelle is known as the secretary and assistant to gamers in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and will be a playable element in the Ultimate game set to arrive later on in the year.
Isabelle's moveset will stem from activities and items originally found in Animal Crossing with the character being able to use a fishing rod and bug net to trap other players while also pocketing projective attacks to reverse them back to the opponent. Prior to the unveiling of Isabelle, director of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate series, Masahiro Sakurai, also announced that new fighters would include King K. Rool from Donkey Kong, Ridley from Metroid, and Simon and Richter Belmont from Castlevania.
The game is set to launch for Nintendo Switch on December 7th, but before the release, gamers can get in on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch bundle which includes a digital copy of Ultimate and a pair of Smash Brothers-themed Joy-Con controllers while the Switch dock is decorated with Super Smash Bros. characters. This bundle will launch on November 2nd.
Additionally, Nintendo plans to release a new line of GameCube controllers and adapters for use with Switch. The controllers will retail for $30 each while the adapter is an added $20.
