The absurd comedy Rick And Morty has been airing on-and-off for years now, and understandably so. For those who've glanced at it in passing, it doesn't exactly seem like the kind of show that a network would want to invest millions in. On the other hand, those who have actually spent some time with it love it to much to let it go. So, in the end, Cartoon Network renewed the show for 70 more episodes and fans having been waiting not-so-patiently for season four.
Today, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. The Rick And Morty Twitter account released a short video that imagines the pair as everything from fish to Godzilla and Mothra, to a hippo and a bird. Notably, there is no mention of the famous "Pickle Ye."
The creators of the show, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, haven't given much information about the new season, although the fact that they want to prove what they're made of. Dan Harmon, who also made Community, explained how he's never made it past season three of a show, saying, "I fell apart in season 3 of Community and got fired in season 4. Now I’m about to do season 4 of Rick and Morty and want to prove that I’ve grown.”
