We’re currently in the midst of an ongoing celebration that commemorates the arrival of one of hip-hop’s most definitive and iconic projects in the form of the 25th anniversary for Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
In a slew of anniversary performances with all members of Wu-tang, including the resurrection of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Wu-tang has also been gifting fans with a few collectibles along the way. Naturally.
Now, the crew has teamed up with mobile shopping app The NTWRK, marketed as the “HSN for Gen Z,” to launch a new selection of special edition merchandise, finding inspiration from the Wu Wear clothing imprint. Along with ready-to-wear-pieces that include a quilted jacket that reads, “PROTECT YA NECK,” and exclusive access to Wu-Tang’s Clarks Wallabees collaboration—a gold silhouette embossed with the Wu-Tang Clan logo—NTWRK also launched a live sit-down between Ghostface, GZA and Charlamagne Tha God. The experience falls in line with the projected outcome of The NTWRK’s function.
“Beyond this being an interesting way to create content for consumer products, the exciting part is how we can create content for entertainment studios, support the launch of video games, big album releases, TV shows or films,” says NTWRK creator and ComplexCon founder Aaron Levant.
