A Penguin we're all familiar with.

Robin Lord Taylor has been a mainstay on Fox's Gotham since the first season. Taylor plays Penguin, the wobbling enemy of Batman who runs most of Gotham's underground criminal activity. While Penguin may not be physically daunting, his intelligence, wealth, and army of endless henchman make him a constant thorn in Batman's side.

As the show has progressed, we've observed Taylor transform more and more into the Penguin seen in the comics. Although the show does venture far from canon to create an alternate universe, Taylor has done an immaculate job of bringing Penguin from the comic book pages into real life. Gotham is now in its final season, and the last episode will feature a ten-year time jump. As reported by Comicbook.com, while at New York Comic Con last weekend, Taylor revealed that his skinny frame will be morphed into the more portly figure of the Penguin by the show's ending.

"We're jumping into the future at the end," revealed Taylor. When an interviewer asked Taylor about donning a fat suit, he replied, "Yes! Yeah, I get chunky." The Penguin actor dove a little deeper into the final season in a discussion with Comicbook. "I can't spoil anything specific but definitely there are parts of the traditional iconography of the Penguin that are coming into play this year," he said. "We've done everything else with this character it has its own unique twists and it's also everything is earned and everything makes sense this character is turning into the traditional Penguin that we all know and so we see it visually as well as emotionally."
