Queen was finally released this week after being pushed back a couple of times. Nicki Minaj's comeback already had a strong contender in Travis Scott's Astroworld, which is currently in its second week on the charts. While many are predicting that his album will remain in the number one slot despite Queen's arrival, Nicki Minaj is letting people know that her record is buzzing louder than the haters.
The rapper uploaded a screengrab of the Apple Music streaming charts generated by Whale Report. According to their data, Nicki's record tops the ranking ahead of Astroworld and Ariana Grande's Sweetener.
"♥️‼️thank you to my fans around the WORLD. S/O TO ALL MY CARIBBEAN PEOPLE STREAMING #Queen bumpin #CocoChanel my starting 5 today: GB, MAJESTY, HW, BD, LLC + CSAM"
This news comes after the female emcee posted a screenshot of Target informing their customer's about the album's availability at their shops. Apparently, the retailer ran out of its physical copies. This may or may not have had a direct impact on the streaming numbers considering the retailer's offering of exclusive content. Their version of Queen includes two exclusive tracks.
Either way, fans and haters alike will have to wait a bit longer to receive the final count that will determine if Queen will dominate like its title implies.
