The Migos exploded onto the scene nearly five years ago with their viral hit "Versace." At the time, Quavo was crowned the group's frontman by the public, with catchy ad-libs accompanying his braggadocios rhymes, and a swaggy appeal that went unmatched. He then started lending out features to several other artists in hip-hop and outside the genre, landing him some top-charting records and reassuring doubters that he was here to stay. Having catapulted himself & the Migos into mainstream success over the years, fans have been eager to hear what the ATL rapper could do by himself, and after years of rumors & speculation, that day is finally here. Quavo’s highly anticipated solo album, Quavo Huncho, has arrived today after months of promotion.
The 19-track project features guest appearances from a slew of big name artists, including Drake, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Offset, Takeoff, Kid Cudi, Cardi B, Madonna and girlfriend Saweetie, among others. Meanwhile production is handled by the likes of Murda Beatz, Pharrell, DJ Durel, Buddha Bless, and more.
When Quavo was asked about the timing of the project, the ATL rapper says that he and the rest of the members of Migos want to each express themselves through full projects, with Takeoff & Offset's respective albums to follow. “It’s like we’re all painting a different picture, and we all hear different sounds and see different pictures and got different visions,” he said. “So we all just get a chance to get that off on this album and we’ll be back for Culture III.”
Available now on iTunes, fans can stream the solo album in its entirety via Apple Music and/or Spotify. Hit play and let us know what record you’re feeling the most?
