Last night was the annual ceremony for the American Music Awards, crowning some of the most popular artists today. Awards were handed out and performances were aplenty during the event with many keeping their eyes on Cardi B to see if she would speak on what happened with Nicki Minaj. Cardi has indirectly discussed the shoe-throwing incident a few times, most recently admitting that their altercation came as a result of Instagram "likes." Nicki Minaj ended up not attending the award show after many anticipated their first face-to-face meeting since the brawl. Instead, Bardi ended up racking up a few W's, winning three awards. Offset was also successful, accepting an award alongside Quavo for "Favorite Pop/Rock Duo."
After the show, the couple partied it up, heading to Murano in West Hollywood as they were flanked by security guards. A large number of bodyguards escorted them to a back entrance of the hotspot as photographers asked her questions about Nicki and Taran Killam's ridiculous reaction to her performance. Some fans were audibly upset about not being able to interact with the superstars as one woman yelled, "Are you serious? It's that big of a deal for us to even see you?"
After all that's gone down in the last few weeks between the Nicki fight and her alleged ordered beatdown of two women, we're not surprised to see Cardi up her security detail.
