Video footage of R. Kelly claiming it's "too late" is rubbing people the wrong way.

R. Kelly has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Last week Spotify announced they were removing his music from their popular playlists due to his sexual assault allegations, and surprisingly the move boosted his streaming numbers on other platforms. One of his sexual assault accusers, Faith Rodgers, has spoken on the record detailing the abusive way Kelly treated her, claiming that Kelly told her she looked 14-years-olds

The latest on the "Ignition" singer is a new video that has surfaced that sees Kelly speak on all these allegations as well as the recent #MuteKelly hashtag that has been trending on Twitter. It's "too late," Kelly says in the video below. "They should've did this shit 30 years ago." Right away, it's easy to assume Kelly is referencing the woman who has accused him of sexual misconduct, but according to his team, he didn't mean that at all.

A source close to Kelly told TMZ that his comment was simply in reference to Spotify, rather than bashing his accusers. He was said to be celebrating something with his friends and made a speech on how his music has already positively affected people and it's too late to shut that down.

What do you guys think?
