Breaking Bad is celebrating their ten year anniversary this year, and the cast reunited on Conan O'Brien's annual Comic-Con segment. This is O'Brien's fourth year shooting a segment for Comic-Con, which is proof of how popular the essential comic book convention has become in recent years. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan dropped by with Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, and R.J. Mitte to discuss several aspects of the classic TV series.
Several revealing statements were made during the cast interview, including the fact that Gilligan once planned on killing off Walt Jr. The show's creator explained that the writers thought he was insane for suggesting such a cruel death, but honestly, it would have been a good twist. Also, Bryan Cranston stated that he thinks Walter White is still alive, since he has never seen a coroner's report. Speaking of Walter White's death, Gilligan claims that his mother hated the way the show ended. The cast was very candid, and Jonathan Banks event admitted that he has been offered plastic surgery on his face. Better Call Saul, the spin-off series for Breaking Bad, enters its fourth season next month.
