Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman says there needs to be a "complete overhaul of the entire organization" following the team's crushing Monday Night loss at home to the Tennessee Titans. During Tuesday's appearance on 1310 The Ticket, Aikman said, "I can't think of a loss that was this bad at this point of a year."
"Go through the list and this team, over a long period of time, has been what it's been," Aikman said Tuesday on 1310 The Ticket, per ESPN. "It hasn't always mattered who the head coach has been. So to me, if you're asking me, I'd say there has to be a complete overhaul of the entire organization."
"I've heard Jerry say, 'OK, look, we're going to do it differently. I'm going to do it differently.' ... But it's the same. Nothing changes," Aikman said. "And that to me is the bigger issue. ... Yes, coaching is important, personnel, all those things are important, but how are you going about evaluating how you're going about running the organization?
However, team owner Jerry Jones said after the 28-14 loss that there was no scenario in which he would make an in-season head-coaching change. According to ESPN, Jones has only made such a move once since purchasing the Dallas Cowboys, and that was in 2010 when he promoted current head coach Jason Garrett to the position after Wade Phillips started the season 1-7.
Dallas is currently 3-5 heading into Week 10's Sunday night showdown against the division rival Eagles in Philadelphia.
