Troy Aikman is a legendary quarterback in the NFL. He played 12 seasons for the Dallas Cowboys and led the team to three Super Bowl victories. Considering his pedigree, a co-sign from Aikman probably means you're a special player. Current Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott got exactly that when Aikman commented Dak's ability and leadership.
"I think sometimes when you start with the amount of money that's involved when you're paying these guys as franchise quarterbacks," Aikman told Mike Leslie of WFAA Dallas. "I think you have to take a step back and really evaluate how they're going to handle that and how they're going to represent the organization to be the face of the club and Dak is one guy you just simply don't have to worry about."
Aikman continued, saying "He's a great leader, he's everything you'd want him to be. I think that he has shown an ability to win games late."
Prescott proved exactly that last weekend when he led the Cowboys to a 24-22 victory against the Seattle Seahawks in their NFC Wild-Card game. This weekend Prescott will get a chance to prove Aikman even more right when he takes on the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round.
