It looks like Rihanna’s Los Angeles pad was the latest victim to a faulty home alarm system. On Monday, LAPD responded to an alarm going off at the singer's home but it turns out it wasn't real. TMZ obtained footage of several cops cars all parked outside her house, while a helicopter was spotted hovering over the house looking for an overhead view.
Sources say the alarm was accidentally triggered, though Rihanna was not home at the time. They also added that the strong police presence was there because of the history of intruder's at Rihanna's crib and they weren’t taking any chances.
Back in May, an intruder was arrested at the property after he allegedly broke in and spent the night. The man allegedly told cops he was there to have sex with the singer, but thankfully she was not home at the time. The man of course was eventually arrested and charged with felony stalking and burglary.
This all happened on Monday, just hours after Rihanna announced that Donald Glover will be performing at her upcoming Diamond Ball next month, with Issa Rae serving as the event’s host.
Peep the footage TMZ obtained (below) and let this be a lesson to anyone thinking about invading RiRi’s crib.
