The cast of the classic film series Back to the Future reunited at the Boston's Fan Expo this weekend. Michael J. Fox, Thomas Wilson, Lea Thompson, and Christopher Lloyd all sat down to speak to a crowded room of excited fans that wanted nothing more than to hop in the DeLorean time machine and head back to the 80's. According to local news outlet MassLive, the crew spoke about their adventures in the past, but also opined about the future of the franchise.
"Basically, I think America is saying, 'Come on they've wrecked every other franchise with bad sequels, why not this one?'" Wilson joked. "'C'mon, we would watch it until it sucks.'" Fox stated that trilogy co-creator Bob Gale is the "great gatekeeper of the franchise," referencing Gale's continued statements against continuing the series. Fox also revealed that he was not ready for all the success and fame that came after he starred in the film.
"When the movie came out, it shocked me 'cause I had no idea what it was going to be, because I had no chance to live with it," Fox stated."It just happened overnight." If you miss Back to the Future, I would suggest watching Rick And Morty, which draws heavy influence from the classic film series.
