On July 29, Comedy Central will air "The Roast of Bruce Willis," which includes roasters such as Nikki Glaser, Lil Rel Howery, Dom Irrera, Edward Norton, Kevin Pollak, Jeff Ross, Willis' Moonlighting co-star Cybill Shepherd, Martha Stewart and NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman.
While the event won't air until later this month, the roast has already been filmed and it's being reported that Rodman's set was an unmitigated disaster.
According to Hollywood Reporter, Rodman had a tough go of it on stage and "apologized a number of times to the audience and guests onstage as he flubbed his lines." Most notably, The Worm reportedly bombed while trying to make a joke about North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, which resulted in boos from the crowd.
"Trying to give Willis a hard time about some of his movie choices, Rodman said, "You keep making these bomb movies like Kim, but at least he is smart enough not to release his.""
"That did not go over well and elicited boos."
Hollywood Reporter also notes that several of the roasters made jokes involving President Trump, Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey.
"If you were to do American History X today, not only would you win the Oscar, but also a Cabinet position," Pollak joked to Edward Norton.
"Trump told me [American History X] was his all-time favorite comedy," Jeff Ross quipped.
When it was Willis' turn, he didn't hold back, telling Norton, "You've rubbed more people the wrong way than Harvey Weinstein."
