In case you missed it earlier this week, an old video clip of XXXTentacion smacking a girl in the head had surfaced online, which has caused prosecutors in his other domestic abuse case to look into. Some people thought the video was fake or just X and his ex “play fighting,” but it turns out that’s far from the case. In fact, the woman in the video actually spoke out for the first time yesterday saying she was fearing for her life, and that’s why she’s remained quiet for all this time.
"For those questioning why I didn't come forth earlier was because I was terrified for my life," she wrote. "Imagine someone doing that to you unprovoked? At 16? Let alone the people he associates himself w/? Truth of the matter is I would still be holding on to this secret if it wasn't leaked."
Well in the wake of the video, X is saying the woman is trying to get after his pockets. TMZ reports that X and the girl had talked when the video first leaked online, and the two reportedly made the video as a joke back in 2013 when they were 15 years old. She reportedly agreed to go on the record with X's lawyer to make it clear the video was indeed a joke, but it appears things have taken a turn since this agreement.
The girl’s grandparents had apparently called X’s team asking what they'd be willing to do to "make everything good,” alluding to them wanting money. However who knows how this is all going play out.
X's attorney, Jaclyn Broudy, believes this a standard money grab from the girl & her family. She says "This 'terrified' woman decides to post this video now, conveniently, when [XXX] becomes famous. Draw your own conclusions."
We’ll keep you posted on all of X’s whereabouts & info moving forward.
