While XXXTentacion is currently enjoying the height of his young career, it would appear that remnants of his violent past continue to haunt him. A disturbing video recently surfaced, in which XXXTentacion can be seen lurking behind a woman. He proceeds limber up, before issuing a hard, open handed slap. Some have since debated the clip's context, but X's muddy history with domestic violence toward women have made this hard to ignore. Now, the recipient of X's blow, an Instagram user by the name of lilbcupp, has come forward to address the footage.
In her story, which was captured by TSR, the woman claims that the narrative that "they were just playing" is far from true. "For those questioning why I didn't come forth earlier was because I was terrified for my life," she wrote. "Imagine someone doing that to you unprovoked? At 16? Let alone the people he associates himself w/? Truth of the matter is I would still be holding on to this secret if it wasn't leaked."
As it stands, X is currently on house arrest, and prosecutors have claimed to be taking a look at this recent footage. X's attorney maintains that the footage was "taken completely in jest," and that the rapper has since changed for the better. It's difficult to pinpoint when this clip was recorded, but the absence of X's blue hair or chest tattoos suggests that the violence occurred before his career skyrocketed. Either way, it's not a good look for X. We'll have to wait and see what becomes of this.
