Netflix just made a major hire.

Susan Rice was once the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nation and she served for four years as Barack Obama's national security advisor that pushed her into the limelight after the 2012 attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

Having such great experience and probably the best recommendations, the 53-year-old has now joined Netflix's board of directors, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

“We are delighted to welcome Ambassador Rice to the Netflix board,” Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings said. “For decades, she has tackled difficult, complex global issues with intelligence, integrity and insight and we look forward to benefiting from her experience and wisdom.”

The streaming platform recently announced that they are planning to incorporate more current affair talk shows and weekly programs, it seems as though Susan will be the perfect delegate to go over such series and provide valued insight on proper coverage.

“I am thrilled to be joining the board of directors of Netflix, a cutting-edge company whose leadership, high-quality productions, and unique culture I deeply admire,” Susan said.

Netflix has close to 118 million subscribers worldwide and with the plans to release 700 series and movies this year alone, that number is bound to grow even more.
