John Cena is keeping himself busy these days. After breaking up with fiance Nikki Bella months ago, Cena has been burying himself in his work. It was announced that the WWE star turned actor would be starring in a film produced by Dwayne Johnson called The Janson Directive, and Cena will also be playing a main role in this holiday season's Bumblebee movie. It doesn't look like Cena plans on slowing down anytime soon, and now it is being reported that he will be starring alongside Jackie Chan in a new action thriller.
Sylvester Stallone was originally slated to star alongside Chan in the film, which is entitled Project X. Variety claims that movie, which was originally titled Ex-Baghdad, is about a Chinese private security contractor who is given the mission of extracting oil workers from a refinery that’s under attack. He teams up with a former U.S. Marine, played by Cena, and the two must stop the attack when they learn that the enemies’ real plan is to steal the oil. Scott Waugh (Act of Valor, Need for Speed) will direct the film, while Arash Amel wrote the script. Chan also serves as an executive producer for the film.
