These days, J. Cole doesn't really do features. We knew that already though as his motto is basically that he went platinum without any features. During the K.O.D. aftermath, Cole said that he prefers to go through his album process solo, figuring out which direction he wants to take by himself. That doesn't stop him from supporting the artists he messes with though. The elusive artist has helped out on tracks for Jay Rock, Royce Da 5'9" and Cozz this year. His feature spots are rare but it looks like we may be able to prepare ourselves for the next J. Cole guest appearance.
With 6LACK revealing last month that his next album is finished, there is still an air of mystery around when we can expect it and who will be featured. It looks like one of the names may have just been revealed on 6LACK's Instagram page and it's a big one. Posing for a pic with J. Cole, the singer captioned his post with "soon," adding the emoji he's been using to promote his album. Reading between the lines, this makes it pretty clear that Cole will have a role on 6LACK's upcoming project. However, things have appeared crystal clear in the past only to end up being complete reaches. It may seem pretty obvious from the post that the two are teaming up but we could be wrong.
Is this a collab you guys would be down for? As details emerge on 6LACK's upcoming album, we will update you.
