LaVar Ball's Junior Basketball Association, aka the JBA, has announced new details about the league today, including a "player selection committee" that features former NBA players Earl Watson and Ed O’Bannon as well as Lonzo Ball.

According to Slam Magazine, the JBA will hold open tryouts in eight cities across the United States starting April 7th in Seattle. Other tryouts will be held in Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia and Chicago throughout the month of April.

Players that are approved by Watson, O'Bannon and Lonzo will then be flown into Los Angeles in June for training camp. After the completion of the JBA's inaugural season, the best players in the league will then embark on an international tour to compete against overseas squads.

“We said three months ago that we were in it to change the game, and now we’re excited to finally get to work,” says LaVar Ball. “This movement shouldn’t just be about catering to top prospects. Any talented baller deserves the chance to get seen and recognized.”

“The JBA model is the first of its kind that will offer young athletes an opportunity to develop life skills management while participating in a high level of competition. I am thrilled to be a part of this innovative new league that will not only engage fans, but provide a professional alternative for young basketball players,” said Earl Watson in a statement shared by the JBA with SLAM.

To be eligible to tryout for the JBA you must be between 17-19 years old. According to Slam, all lodging and meals will be covered by the league and the players will be paid. Additionally, the championship winning squad will receive luxury cars.
