Last week we ran an editorial that stressed the importance of the "title track." It would seem that Trouble left our memo at the door when he first dropped Edgewood in March, but not regrettably so. The album was concise and "well controlled," so much so I would dare called it my personal AOTY.
The extended version of Edgewood "(41E Edition)" dropped on Friday. It includes five previously unheard tracks that are consistent with the critical period that saw him drop his opus. These songs were likely only left off Edgewood to create uniformity -- some are stronger than others. Among the five loosies, Trouble recruits Offset for a remix to his twerk anthem "Kesha Dem;" the others are far less analogous.
On the newly-unearthed title track "Edgewood," Trouble goes to town (literally) with Alley Boy, so seems to be taking his rejuvenated rap career more serious than ever. Peep the rest of the loosies right here.
