Mike WiLL Made It. Big Trouble, baby. A deadly combination, likely to be confirmed by anybody familiar with Edgewood. While T's official debut album dropped to near-universal acclaim, some were left wondering whether or not he'd be taking the rest of the year off. Luckily, Trouble has decided to bless us with an Edgewood reissue, featuring five new songs. One such banger is "Apologetic," which picks up where Edgewood's chilling aesthetic left off. Once again, Trouble take's to Mike WiLL's minimalist trap production with an effortless sense of gravitas.
Mike keeps the arrangement scant; grooving 808s, an atmospheric, haunting synth, and up-tempo hi-hats. Such space leaves ample room for Trouble to go off, showcasing a wizened ear for restraint. "Them Rari's are gettin' enticing, I'm good with a Bentley though," raps Trouble, more than content with "plenty Henny and hoes." Peep the single now, and sound off below.
Quotable Lyrics
Lil dawg tryin to make him some money so I respect it
If they ever get out of line you need to check
Lockdown had me thinking about how I'm blessed
Streets told me to get it, I'm sorry, apologetic
