LeBron 3 "CTK" reportedly releasing later this week.

The Nike LeBron 3 unexpectedly released today in a special edition "Christ The King" colorway inspired by the prestigious Christ the King High School in Queens, New York. In fact, Nike dropped the kicks at the actual school.

The exclusive LeBron 3 "CTK" was first introduced in 2006 but remained exclusive to players, friends and family, until today when they suddenly returned. Of course, they instantly sold out.

That said, Sneaker News reports that the burgundy, white and gold LeBron 3s will be dropping again later this week although official release details have not been announced. Additionally, the LeBron 3 has since popped up on Nike's "Inside The Vault" page which suggests that even more limited edition colorways could also be releasing in the near future.

The Nike LeBron 3 made it's debut back in November of 2005, featuring Zoom Air units at the forefoot and heel, as well as a “foot-bucket” insole which prevented the foot from slipping off the foot-bed. The kicks are currently selling on the resale market in the $400-$500 range, however some player exclusives, like the "Superman" joint, fetch as much as $1,500. Deadstock pairs of the "CTK" LeBron 3s have asking prices ranging from $620 to $1,800 on eBay.
