Tiffany Haddish & "Lego Movie 2" Are A Perfect Match

Leading funny woman Tiffany Haddish will join Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Channing Tatum, and Will Arnett in the cast of Lego Movie 2. Variety reports that she will share top billing in the sequel, but her character has yet to be decided. They inevitably chose to add her star power before she gets locked up by other commitments. Trolls director Mike Mitchell has been chosen to lead the project from a directorial standpoint. 

Tiffany Haddish is really amping up her schedule. She is also penciled in to star opposite Tracy Morgan in TBS' The Last OG. Haddish's role in that series is that of Morgan's former love interest. Morgan's character has spent the last 15 years in the pen, and upon returning to society, he finds his entire neighborhood gentrified, his former wife remarried with a Caucasian man who has assumed daddy duty over his two children. Somewhere along the line his character repents for his sins, or maybe Haddish just gives him a pass. Who knows?

Haddish's addition to Lego Movie 2 is a minor coup for the actress. Voice-over roles are hot in demand for they present a lighter work schedule for the actors involved.

Lego Movie 2 is set to his theaters on February 8th, 2019.
