Tiffany Haddish continues to rise in Hollywood as one of the most talented actresses and hilarious comedians. She's been working at the speed of light building her career, and it seems like Haddish is popping up everywhere. She is in Uncle Drew, co-stars with Kevin Hart in Night School (which drops later this year), and she's currently performing voice acting for The Secret Life of Pets 2 and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. According to IMDB, she is also working on three other films. At this pace, Haddish will soon eclipse Dwayne Johnson with the number of movies that she is releasing. Maybe.
Haddish is also an author, and she released The Last Black Unicorn last Winter. The book reveals many things about Haddish's past, including the domestic abuse she suffered at the hands of William Stewart, her ex-husband. According to TMZ Stewart is filing a lawsuit against his ex-wife, and he claims that the abuse never took place. Haddish is making this defamation lawsuit hard for Stewart though, or maybe he's making it hard for himself. According to legal docs secured by TMZ, Haddish claims that Stewart never asked her to "clarify, correct or retract" the statements in the book that he feels are false. That step is necessary for the legal process of filing a defamation lawsuit. Although that may just be a minor road bump in the overall case, it will certainly keep Stewart entangled in paperwork a little while longer.
