The men professed a bevy of repulsive slurs.

Syracuse University officials have suspend the Theta Tau fraternity after video surfaced showcasing its members spewing some particularly hateful remarks. The school's independent newspaper The Daily Orange made part of the video public, exposing their indecency to the general public.

The footage depicts members of the engineering fraternity using racist, homophobic and sexist insults while pretending to engage in sexual behaviour with one another. University chancellor Kent Syverud released a statement on Wednesday condemning the individuals whose behaviour is "extremely troubling and disturbing."

"Videos showing this offensive behavior have surfaced online. They include words and behaviors that are extremely racist, anti-semitic, homophobic, sexist, and hostile to people with disabilities," Syverud said in the statement, per ABC. "The conduct is deeply harmful and contrary to the values and community standards we expect of our students. There is absolutely no place at Syracuse University for behavior or language that degrades any individual or group's race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, disability or religious beliefs."

As a result, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities have deterred the organization from operating, effectively putting an end to their future activities.

Students have been demanding that the entirety of the clip be released, taking to the university campus to stage a mini protest.

Theta Tau is now the fourth fraternity to be suspended by Syracuse University this academic year.
