Sacramento Kings rookie forward Marvin Bagley III, the second overall pick in the NBA Draft, will reportedly miss the remainder of the NBA Summer League according to ESPN's Marc J. Spears. An MRI conducted on Monday revealed a pelvic bone bruise, which will keep Bagley sidelined for one-to-two weeks before he can resume basketball activity.
Bagley, a former Duke Blue Devil, suffered the injury during Sacramento's 71-61 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Saturday and sat out Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 6'11 forward scored 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting and pulled in seven rebounds in 32 minutes of action against Phoenix.
Bagley, along with fellow rookies DeAndre Ayton, Michael Porter Jr. and Zhaire Smith, will help usher in Puma Basketball's resurgence during the 2018-19 season. Each of the four rookies will wear the Puma Clyde Court Disrupt, a sneaker that is inspired by Knicks legend Walt "Clyde" Frazier, who was recently given a lifetime contract with the revived brand.
