Former Duke Blue Devil, Marvin Bagley III, who is projected as a Top-5 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft has reportedly signed a massive sneaker deal with... Puma.
According to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, Bagley's five-year deal with Puma is expected to be the largest rookie shoe deal since Kevin Durant signed a 7-year, $60 million endorsement with Nike in 2007. The 6'11 forward will become the first NBA player in 20 years to rep for Puma, but he's not the only incoming rookie on the brand's radar.
Last month it was reported that Puma was targeting former Oklahoma Sooners point guard Trae Young to be the face of their basketball category, but they're also courting Arizona big man DeAndre Ayton, who is expected to be selected first overall. According to Oregon Live, Puma is "close to a deal" with Ayton which would be another shocking addition for a brand that hasn't signed an NBA player since Vince Carter left for Nike in 1999.
