Yung Lean has always been one of the more obscure figures in the hip-hop world. When he first broke out, nobody really knew how to react. Before us was a kid from Sweden rapping over spacey, distorted beats. With a name like Yung Lean, we were all hesitant but he managed to grow on much of the community. Leandoer's most recent album Stranger was a piece of art, going through a vast range of emotions as the Sad Boy continues to evolve his sound. His most recent offering includes up-and-comer Lil Dude as they flow over production from Hurtboy AG and Foster.
"Like Me" is a mellowed-out, chill track from Lean. The subject content is purely superficial as they brag about guns, drugs, girls, and more. This summer we received a few new tracks from the Swedish artist in "Ghostface/Shyguy" and "Crash Bandicoot." Could we be nearing a new project from the elusive rapper?
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm a viking, I'm just striking, lightning on my wrist
It gets frightening like The Shining, pulled up with two twins
Chance to get money is a chance I never miss
Alligator casket slayer, my girl like Lil Kim
I got haters, made me paper, fuck 'em, ain't no shit
I'ma take your Gucci layers, fuck it, we gon' win
