Lil Wayne's set underwent a last minute cancellation, leaving fans devastated.

Rolling Loud has come and gone, bringing forth a variety of memorable moments. From Lil Uzi Vert's dive for the ages, to Lil Pump vibing to "1985," to Ski Mask and XXXTentacion's reunion. Fans no doubt had their fill, and overall experiences from the festival seemed to be positive. Unfortunately, one of the biggest heartbreaks arrived at the last possible minute, minutes before Lil Wayne was set to take the stage for his headlining performance.

Sadly, when it came to actually showing up for his set, Lil Wayne channeled Tha Carter V and failed to arrive. As of now, the reasons for the absence have yet to be determined; perhaps the organizers decided against it for whatever reason. Broadcasted in his stead was a message reading “Due to unfortunate circumstances, Lil Wayne will not be able to perform tonight. We are truly sorry." Naturally, the fans were having none of this; many of them withstood the elements for a chance at catching Weezy in the flesh. Many disappointed fans took to Twitter to voice their despair, especially those who made the trek strictly for Wayne.

The diction of the announcement ultimately raised a few eyebrows. "Unfortunate circumstances" sound rather ominous, and we can't help but hope that Weezy's health did not take a sudden turn for the worst. However, the plot was thickened when a photograph of Weezy and Birdman surfaced, captured earlier that day. Therefore, it stands to reason that he was indeed on the premises. Perhaps it had something to do with the weather, which was far from balmy. Either way, the last minute cancellation has yet to receive a mention from Wayne's team. All we can do is speculate.
