BROCKHAMPTON is prepping their fans for the release of their next album, which arrives tomorrow. The group have been through a lot this year, having to figure out how to deal with the controversial Ameer Vann situation. With Ameer now out of the group, members that were featured more in background roles have been given the chance to step up and show their skills. In this case, Matt Champion, Joba, and Merlyn Wood are given the opportunity to open us up to Iridescence.
The album is due to drop on September 21 and we've just received one of the first videos for the project. What was originally called Puppy, and then The Best Years Of Our Lives, has now transitioned into Iridescence. That appears to be its final form as the group is focusing on thermal imaging and flashy visuals. This vibe is significantly different from anything we've heard from them in the past, getting pretty angsty, especially in Joba's section.
Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
Quotable Lyrics:
'Til the casket drops, I will play God
Fuck the world, let's start a riot
Got too much too quick
God damn, I'm feeling sick, b-tch, call the doctor
Don't act like I ain't been dead to ya
Don't act like I ain't deserve this shit
'Cause that's the day, inside my head
That's why I did the drugs I did
Got issues with these motherfuckers
Looking down from they pedestals
