Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball has caught plenty of backlash for his taste in music, most notably his claim that nobody listens to Nas anymore. “That’s not gonna happen,” Ball said while taping an episode of "Ball In The Family," last year. “Y’all outdated, man. Don’t nobody listen to Nas anymore […] Real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”
It should therefore come as no surprise that Nas didn't crack the 20-year old point guard's list of Top-5 rappers.
Ahead of tonight's game against the Hawks in Atlanta, Ball was asked to name his Top-5 rappers in the game right now and he reiterated his Migos and Future fandom. In addition to Future, Quavo and Offset, Lonzo also named Drake and 21 Savage as his starting five.
After quickly rattling off his five favorite rappers, Lonzo also spoke about his debut album, what it's like playing alongside Isaiah Thomas and how he looks out for his "little brother" Kyle Kuzma.
