Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma took to twitter last night to challenge his teammate Lonzo Ball to release an album on June 15, the same day that Nas is scheduled to drop his new project. If you recall, Lonzo came under fire prior to the NBA season when he claimed that nobody listens to Nas anymore.
“That’s not gonna happen,” Ball said while taping an episode of "Ball In The Family," late last year. “Y’all outdated, man. Don’t nobody listen to Nas anymore […] Real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”
Lonzo also took another shot at Nas when the Lakers visited the Knicks during the regular season by wearing a sweatshirt with his face photoshopped onto Nas’ album cover for “It Was Written." The Knicks went on to win that game, which prompted the Queens-native to celebrate the victory on Instagram.
Naturally, Kuzma is now looking to pit the two against each other on June 15, and 70% of the 62,000+ voters want to see it happen. Kuzma's tweet reads, "Hey @ZO2_ Nas is dropping his album June 15th... make one by that time and let's see who is better... America do you want to see this?"
Ball, who released his debut rap album Born 2 Ball in February, has not yet responded to Kuzma's offer but it's only a matter of time before he responds in some way, shape or form.
