Mitchell's MRI comes back negative.

Utah Jazz rookie sensation Donovan Mitchell has been cleared to play in Game 2 of their series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, an MRI on Mitchell's left foot came back negative and coach Quin Snyder says all signs point to him being ready for Game 2 on Wednesday.

Mitchell exited Sunday's Game 1 in the fourth quarter to get an X-ray on the foot but was able to return with just under eight minutes remaining. However, he was pulled just a minute later after the coaching staff saw him limping on the court after hitting a jumper.

After the game, Mitchell said the injury was "nothing major."

"I just stubbed my toe," Mitchell said, according to ESPN. "Nothing major."

"I was just limping, and they saw me limping and thought I needed to come out," Mitchell said, "but I was just being a baby."

"The doctors cleared him, so I put him back in the game, but when I saw him, it looked to me that he was feeling it a little bit and just wanted to make sure, so I took him out and just confirmed it," Snyder said. "And then he went back. Everything that we know right now, he's fine. I'm sure he'll undergo further imaging, and we'll update that tomorrow."

In his post-season debut, the 21-year old rookie finished with 27 points on 11-of-22 shooting, and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Jazz's 116-108 loss. Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday night at 8:00pm ET. That game will air on NBA TV.
