Mike WiLL Made It has announced the release date for Edgewood, his collaborative project with Atlanta rapper Trouble. The release will arrive March 23rd, according to a tweet from the producer posted Sunday.
Mike first announced that he and Trouble had put together a project last year when he spoke of Trouble's collab with Drake "Bring It Back." “Me & Trouble did the whole project in like 3-4 days," he said. "I let Drake hear it and Drake was like ‘yo, that song is crazy,’ and he ended up hopping on that joint." The song was officially released in December.
News of the release date comes shortly after the announcement that Trouble has signed to Ear Drummer Records, Mike Will's imprint under Interscope. He joins Rae Sremmurd and Eearz on the label's roster.
Trouble celebrated the signing on Instagram earlier this week. "Though everyday is a celeBration. This 1 is much BIGGER & BETTER!!" he wrote. "Smh I wanna thank my Brother @mikewillmadeit #Eardrummers & @interscope For Believing in me!! So many mills i dont know how to feel, you ill Mike Will!! 😜Its OFFICIAL!! All my struggles served a purpose.. Its Time!! #EDGEWOOD coming soon."
Trouble dropped his 16 EP last Summer. In 2016, he released the very strong Skoobzilla mixtape. Mike WiLL similarly teamed up with Yo Gotti for a full-length collaborative album in 2017. He is executive producing SremmLife 3, the upcoming three-disc effort from Rae Sremmurd.
