Despite being one of the year's hardest drops thus far, it seems likely that Freddie Gibbs' Freddie album will follow a similar trend as last year's You Only Live 2wice. That is to say, acclaimed by fans and critics alike, though celebrated by those already sworn to Gangsta Gibbs and all he represents. Still, it should be recognized that Freddie can probably out-rap ninety percent of the game, be it live or in studio. Case in point, Gibbs has taken to YouTube to upload an officially recognized concert stream, in which he performs Freddie in its entirety.
Filmed by M2GH2 at The Observatory in Santa Ana on June 27th, Freddie's live skills are put on full display. The man doesn't need a backing track to thrive, delivering his vocals raw and unfiltered. Can you expect anything less from Gibbs at this point? It seems like a Freddie Gibbs live show is something all fans should consider.
