The Game has always been someone who's not afraid to pack a song with features. Perhaps challenged by YG's crew track "Big Bank," with Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz, which is no doubt all over L.A. radio at the current moment, The Game has released his own star-studded record to compete for airtime in the West. "Down To Fuck" feels immediately reminiscent of Snoop Dogg's classic "Ain't No Fun," with Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih sharing the role of Nate Dogg while Game and YG share some summer BBQ bars.
The single's release, currently available solely as a radio rip, marks what could mean a new album rollout from Game. The rapper has been on something of a hiatus after sharing The Documentary 2, The Documentary 2.5, and 1992 within the span of a year.
With Tyga's "Taste" recently invading the Hot 100, West Coast rap is definitely having another moment on radio. We'll have to see if Game is able to conquer the charts with his latest release as well. In a recent Instagram post, he declared, "Radio bout to be mine til Christmas." Having the hitmaking team of Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign on board surely can't hurt his chances.
