Floyd Mayweather Sr., father of retired boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, has been accused of attacking a woman in Las Vegas following the Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin fight back in September.

According to TMZ Sports, an arrest warrant has been issued for Floyd Sr.

The alleged incident reportedly took place in the early hours of September 17th, after an argument broke out between Mayweather and the alleged victim in his car. TMZ Sports reports that after the argument broke out Mayweather told the woman to get out and when she refused he dragged her out by the leg. Once she was out of the car, the 65-year old former boxer allegedly punched the woman in her leg before getting back in his car and driving off. The woman was later hospitalized for minor injuries.

Floyd Sr. was ultimately charged with misdemeanor battery and a warrant was issued for his arrest on January 16th, according to court records obtained by TMZ. Despite the allegations, Mayweather's representatives say the victim is "trying to extort money and she's angry because she's not getting the money from Floyd. It's not going the way she wants it to go."

Mayweather Sr. boxed professionally from 1974 to 1990 and has trained a number of different boxers since retiring, including his son, for select fights.
