Vince Carter turned back the clock last night against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, leading the Kings to a 109-95 victory and outscoring the 4x NBA MVP in the process.
Carter's game-high 24 points set a new NBA record for most points off the bench by a player 40+ years old, and marked the first time he outscored LeBron since December 14, 2007 when he was a member of the Nets.
After the game, Carter credited the Kings' ball movement for his improbable throwback game.
"The shot was falling tonight but it was our ball movement, and the ball found the open guy," Carter said. "It just made it fun to watch. If we play that way we could be a pretty good basketball team."
“He made some bombs,” said Cleveland All-Star LeBron James. “He’s a Hall of Famer for a reason, let’s not take that for granted. Once he got going, we couldn’t slow him down.”
VC's throwback night had #NBATwitter going crazy. Check out some of the highlights and reactions below.
