The sequel's worldwide total is now $932.4 million.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has landed a second week at No. 1 at the domestic box office after another impressive weekend. The sequel to 2015's Jurassic World brings in $60 million domestically in its second week, bringing its domestic total to $264.8 million. Its global haul has now reached $932.4 million, with the film expected to hit the billion mark later this week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Though the numbers are impressive, Jurassic World 2 is still trailing Jurassic World's first two weeks, which earned a domestic total of $402.8 million.

Between Fallen KingdomAvengers: Infinity WarDeadpool 2 and Incredibles 2, June has closed on a high note, with the summer's revenue reportedly up 15.3% from last year at this time.

Incredibles 2 is No. 2 at the box office this week, closing out its third outing with a domestic total of $439.7 million.

Fallen Kingdom, whether or not it was a hit, was already planned to have a follow-up. The concluding chapter in the trilogy was given a release date of June 11, 2021 back in February.

Colin Trevorrow, who directed the first film, will return to helm the third installment. He is cowriting the script with Emily Carmichael. “It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive,” he told Variety of the franchise. “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to Fallen Kingdom and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.”
