"The Mountain" is unstoppable in real life as well.

Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, more famously known as Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Game of Thrones, is a monster on the HBO series. After being "killed" by Prince Oberyn, and then coming back to life long enough to squeeze his head into a bloody pulp, The Mountain was resurrected by science and presumably dark magic. Now, he carefully guards Cersei Lannister, and may be the strongest character on the hit HBO show.

In real life, Bjornsson is just as strong. Standing at 6'9, and weighing 400 lbs, Bjornsson placed second in the last two World's Strongest Man contests (in Manila). Finally, he has achieved the highly respected first place position. According to The Washington Post, Bjornsson finished first in the vehicle deadlift, max overhead and loading race. He then placed fourth in the frame carry and second in the truck pull. Bjornsson finished fifth in the final test, the atlas stones, but his accomplishments in the previous tasks gave him enough of a lead to take first place overall. "Want to thank all of my family, friends and fans for supporting me along the way," wrote Bjornsson on Instagram.

It will be interesting to see how "The Mountain" will fair in the fantasy world of Westeros when the final season of Game of Thrones debuts in 2019.
