Yung Gleesh pushing rap veganism on his new LP.

For a brief moment "Anything Goes," and Yung Gleesh find himself riding the melody of Sisqo's Thong Song, but he quickly breaks out of his cold sweat. New jacks will beg to differ, but there was a time when "The Gleesh Walk" was considered the most subversive dance move since Little Richard cleared the decks for his "Scuba Parties" in the late 60s.

My urgent call for Gleesh to complete his walk may have fallen on deaf ears. Then again he doesn't venture far from the startling block, and you won't hear him pouting about missed opportunity, nor I for that matter.

Here he is doing the shig (a less subversive dance) to Drake's "In My Feelings," a record his longtime friend and producer TrapMoneyBeny helped create. How's that for camaraderie.

In the spirit of Old Gleesh retaining his performance levels, "Anything Goes" is above al,l a return to his root cause. If you expect more lyrical punch from someone like Yung Gleesh, you'll walk away disappointed. Then again, artists like Gleesh are often depicted as lazy until their detractors walk a mile in their shoes and return wielding an F grade.

Check out "Anything Goes" and the rest of Gleesh, streamable right here, no questions asked.

Quotable Lyrics:

Ooh them young n***** set trippin'
I hit it from the back now she wet drippin'
Ooh that bih so scandalous
Them n***** took my swag can't handle this
Anything goes, anything goes, anything goes.
