It's been a long time since we heard new music from D.C. rapper Yung Gleesh. It's been about a year actually, which might make sense given the rapper did run into some issues with the law slightly over a year ago, when he was arrested for sexual assault. It looks like Gleesh is finally getting back to the music, with the release of a new collaboration featuring an ATL and H-Town connection, Uno the Activist and Maxo Kream.
"Spiced," with production from K Swisha, is an urgent, trap-driven record, slowing down only momentarily between verses, as if to catch a breath. Gleesh took to twitter last night, making it his mention to "steal back" all the slang that's been stolen from him (Gleesh included), so we have a feeling there'll be a lot more new music from Gleesh in the future. Stay tuned.
Quotable Lyrics
Kick a n*gga door tie him up with a zip tie
Stomped out n*gga, yeah I don't let shit fly
Killas on his head, do the drive for a Q
Told n*ggas I ain't never been a bitch
Squeezin on the chopper til the gun go click
Dogs gon' bark keep it low like Vic
