The Los Angeles Lakers were visited by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson prior to last night's game against the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center and he appears to have left a lasting impression on team owner Jeanie Buss and president of basketball operations Magic Johnson.
The Rock posed for photos with the duo, as well as the entire Lakers team, and also delivered an "inspirational message," according to Magic. The Lakers twitter account shared one of The Rock's messages: “Find your anchor each morning, and live life like your back is up against the wall. Moving Forward is the only option!”
Jeanie Buss also spoke highly of The People's Champ, posting the following caption on an instagram photo, "Just another day at the #Lakers offices! Seriously I was speechless. I am a huge fan of @therock ( #jumanjimovie was fav summer hit) but nothing prepared me for how handsome, tall and charismatic he was in person. Such generous of him to come and talk to our team. He is the #influncer I want influencing!! @lakers @magicjohnson #therock."
After the meeting, the Lakers picked up a 112-103 victory over the Denver Nuggets, a team that is fighting for a playoff spot. Tonight, the Lakers will travel to Oracle Arena for a matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
